Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the S&P Lima Juniors, Electricity and Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 0.21% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM:ARE), which rose 2.47% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.830 at the close. Ferreyros (LM:FER) added 1.65% or 0.040 points to end at 2.470 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) was up 1.54% or 0.020 points to 1.320 in late trade.
Biggest losers included PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX), which unchanged 5.80% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.07 in late trade. Panoro (LM:PML) declined 3.23% or 0.010 points to end at 0.300 and Edegel (LM:EDE) shed 2.33% or 0.050 points to 2.100.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 17 to 8 and 13 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.23% or 0.13 to $55.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.81% or 0.50 to hit $61.37 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.07% or 0.91 to trade at $1278.61 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.02% to 3.2492, while EUR/PEN fell 0.11% to 3.8295.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 93.83.
