Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the S&P Lima Juniors, Mining and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Casa Grande (LM:CSG), which rose 3.45% or 0.200 points to trade at 6.000 at the close. Trevali Mining (LM:TV) added 3.05% or 0.040 points to end at 1.350 and Milpo (LM:MIL) was up 2.80% or 0.150 points to 5.500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG), which lost 3.23% or 0.050 points to trade at 1.500 in late trade. Buenaventura (LM:BVN) declined 2.59% or 0.420 points to end at 15.780 and Panoro (LM:PML) shed 1.62% or 0.005 points to 0.304.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 14 and 11 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.04% or 0.69 to $65.45 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.47% or 1.03 to hit $69.12 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 1.01% or 13.70 to trade at $1338.40 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.25% to 3.2165, while EUR/PEN fell 0.46% to 3.9738.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 89.20.
