Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Non-Metal Minerals and Mining sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Panoro (LM:PML), which rose 4.00% or 0.005 points to trade at 0.130 at the close. Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) added 2.97% or 0.060 points to end at 2.080 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) was up 2.72% or 0.330 points to 12.480 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Minera Irl (LM:IRL), which lost 5.66% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.10 in late trade. ENGIE Energia Peru SA (LM:ENGI) declined 2.50% or 0.200 points to end at 7.800 and Relapasa (LM:REL) shed 1.95% or 0.005 points to 0.252.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 9 and 10 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.98% or 0.97 to $49.87 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.55% or 0.80 to hit $52.26 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.82% or 10.25 to trade at $1266.65 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.20% to 3.2750, while EUR/PEN fell 0.03% to 3.6626.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 97.33.
