Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Mining and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 9.09% or 0.080 points to trade at 0.960 at the close. Buenaventura (LM:BVN) added 5.19% or 0.590 points to end at 11.950 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) was up 2.38% or 0.020 points to 0.860 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG), which lost 6.25% or 0.090 points to trade at 1.350 in late trade. Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) declined 4.62% or 0.080 points to end at 1.650 and Alicorp (LM:ALI) shed 2.84% or 0.210 points to 7.180.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 14 to 13 and 10 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 1.81% or 0.89 to $48.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.69% or 0.88 to hit $51.31 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 0.95 to trade at $1204.15 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.17% to 3.2830, while EUR/PEN rose 0.34% to 3.5023.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.65% at 101.32.
