Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Mining and Non-Metal Minerals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 1.42% to hit a new 3-year high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which rose 15.52% or 0.090 points to trade at 0.670 at the close. Volcan Compania Minera SAA (LM:VOLa) added 14.29% or 0.400 points to end at 3.200 and Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO) was up 10.58% or 1.100 points to 11.500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX), which lost 8.47% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.05 in late trade. ENGIE Energia Peru SA (LM:ENGI) declined 1.77% or 0.140 points to end at 7.750 and Bco Continenta (LM:CON) shed 1.17% or 0.050 points to 4.210.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 30 to 6 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.59% or 0.30 to $50.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.05% or 0.03 to hit $55.76 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.24% or 2.99 to trade at $1274.79 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2668, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8397.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 93.42.
