Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, S&P Lima Juniors and Mining sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 1.18% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which rose 15.38% or 0.0080 points to trade at 0.0600 at the close. Atacocha (LM:ATB) added 5.17% or 0.015 points to end at 0.305 and Credicorp (LM:BAP) was up 3.83% or 7.20 points to 195.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO), which lost 5.14% or 0.390 points to trade at 7.200 in late trade. Sider (LM:SID) declined 3.78% or 0.013 points to end at 0.331 and Relapasa (LM:REL) shed 3.23% or 0.007 points to 0.210.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 15 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.83% or 0.41 to $48.98 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.12% or 0.06 to hit $51.97 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.10% or 1.23 to trade at $1265.93 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2415, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8092.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 93.48.
