Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Mining, Industrials and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 1.00%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Cerro Verde (LM:CVE), which rose 5.20% or 1.390 points to trade at 28.100 at the close. Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) added 4.17% or 0.006 points to end at 0.150 and Relapasa (LM:REL) was up 3.38% or 0.009 points to 0.275 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Casa Grande (LM:CSG), which lost 0.90% or 0.050 points to trade at 5.500 in late trade. Unacem (LM:CEL) declined 0.69% or 0.020 points to end at 2.900 and Inretail Peru (LM:INR) shed 0.47% or 0.090 points to 19.050.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 23 to 7 and 11 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.87% or 0.50 to $58.06 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.16% or 0.74 to hit $64.54 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.36% or 4.60 to trade at $1268.80 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.49% to 3.2660, while EUR/PEN rose 0.45% to 3.8876.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 92.94.
