Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Electricity, Services and S&P Lima Juniors sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.91% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Relapasa (LM:REL), which rose 6.90% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.310 at the close. ENGIE Energia Peru SA (LM:ENGI) added 5.73% or 0.390 points to end at 7.200 and Edegel (LM:EDE) was up 5.56% or 0.100 points to 1.900 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which lost 2.70% or 0.050 points to trade at 1.800 in late trade. Alicorp (LM:ALI) declined 0.28% or 0.030 points to end at 10.500 and Compania Minera Milpo SAA Class I (LM:MILi) 0.00% or 0.000 points to 3.200.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 28 to 4 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.45% or 0.27 to $59.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.27% or 0.18 to hit $66.17 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.45% or 5.80 to trade at $1297.20 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.14% to 3.2450, while EUR/PEN rose 0.48% to 3.8779.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 92.35.
