Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Mining and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.68% to hit a new 3-year high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which rose 13.85% or 0.0180 points to trade at 0.1480 at the close. Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) added 12.22% or 0.022 points to end at 0.202 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) was up 5.80% or 0.040 points to 0.730 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which lost 5.08% or 0.150 points to trade at 2.800 in late trade. PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX) unchanged 1.49% or 0.00 points to end at 0.07 and Minera Irl (LM:IRL) 1.14% or 0.00 points to 0.09.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 29 to 6 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.04% or 0.02 to $51.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.05% or 0.03 to hit $57.36 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 2.73 to trade at $1283.23 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2425, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8046.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 93.72.
