Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Mining and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.65%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Panoro (LM:PML), which rose 6.45% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.330 at the close. Atacocha (LM:ATB) added 3.23% or 0.020 points to end at 0.640 and Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM:ARE) was up 2.74% or 0.020 points to 0.750 in late trade.
Biggest losers included PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX), which lost 8.47% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.05 in late trade. Minera Irl (LM:IRL) unchanged 2.30% or 0.00 points to end at 0.09 and Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) shed 1.80% or 0.003 points to 0.164.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 21 to 10 and 11 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.11% or 0.57 to $50.73 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $56.41 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.56% or 7.21 to trade at $1296.11 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2535, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8508.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 92.94.
