Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Mining and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.63% to hit a new 3-year high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG), which rose 7.64% or 0.110 points to trade at 1.550 at the close. Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM:ARE) added 6.67% or 0.060 points to end at 0.960 and Sider (LM:SID) was up 6.38% or 0.030 points to 0.500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO), which lost 8.33% or 1.000 points to trade at 11.000 in late trade. Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) declined 6.70% or 0.130 points to end at 1.810 and Relapasa (LM:REL) shed 1.10% or 0.004 points to 0.361.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 25 to 9 and 16 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.05% or 0.69 to $66.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.06% or 0.04 to hit $70.46 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.99% or 13.50 to trade at $1349.40 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.08% to 3.2085, while EUR/PEN fell 0.38% to 3.9922.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 88.90.
