Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Industrials and Non-Metal Minerals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi), which rose 5.63% or 0.040 points to trade at 0.750 at the close. Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) added 3.10% or 0.090 points to end at 2.990 and Sider (LM:SID) was up 3.09% or 0.015 points to 0.500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which lost 2.68% or 0.030 points to trade at 1.090 in late trade. Minsur (LM:MINi) declined 2.44% or 0.050 points to end at 2.000 and Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) shed 1.71% or 0.74 points to 42.53.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 11 and 9 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 2.91% or 1.53 to $54.17 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 2.23% or 1.32 to hit $60.62 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.51% or 6.46 to trade at $1276.06 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.23% to 3.2470, while EUR/PEN fell 0.35% to 3.7685.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 94.72.
