Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Services, Electricity and Non-Metal Minerals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Minera Irl (LM:IRL), which rose 5.43% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.10 at the close. Bco Continenta (LM:CON) added 4.65% or 0.200 points to end at 4.500 and Inretail Peru (LM:INR) was up 2.94% or 0.600 points to 21.000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which lost 14.78% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.173 in late trade. Panoro (LM:PML) declined 10.18% or 0.034 points to end at 0.300 and Candente Copper (LM:DNT) shed 9.23% or 0.0120 points to 0.1180.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 14 and 9 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.48% or 0.27 to $57.08 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.57% or 0.36 to hit $63.85 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.16% or 1.99 to trade at $1285.69 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.02% to 3.2415, while EUR/PEN rose 0.49% to 3.7771.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.36% at 94.43.
