Ora Banda Mining Ltd (ASX:OBM) CEO Luke Creagh has made the transition to managing director, taking up a different leadership mantle to guide the company in leveraging the most value possible from its landholdings.
Creagh is a mining engineer with 20 years of experience in contracting and mining companies at projects both domestically and internationally.
He most recently served as chief operating officer of Northern Star Resources (ASX:NST), having held several other positions in the company including general manager of business development, general manager of strategy and growth, and operations manager.
Before his time at Northern Star, Creagh worked as operations manager for Barminco Ltd. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (mining) from the University of Queensland and a Western Australian first-class mine manager’s certificate.
“Well qualified to guide Ora Banda”
“Luke is highly experienced in managing mining operations and is well placed to lead Ora Banda and extract maximum value from Ora Banda’s highly prospective land package,” Ora Banda chair Peter Mansell said.
“He is an outstanding individual who is well qualified to guide Ora Banda in future and we look forward to continuing the journey with him to drive value through operational execution, exploration and resource definition.”
OBM has also advised that non-executive directors David Quinlivan and Mark Wheatley have resigned from their positions.
Peter Mansell thanked Quinlivan and Wheatley for their contribution to the company since their appointments in April 2019.
“I would like to acknowledge and thank both David and Mark for their valuable contribution to Ora Banda and its board of directors,” Mansell said.
“David successfully guided the company through its recapitalisation in mid-2019 as managing director and CEO before stepping down to a non-executive director role in July 2021.
“The company has greatly valued Mark’s guidance and extensive experience in the resources industry throughout his tenure as a non-executive director.
“My colleagues and I are very grateful for David’s and Mark’s service and wish them both all the very best for the future.”
