Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Software & Computer Services and Auto & components sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Opera Software ASA (OSLO:OPERA), which rose 2.12% or 1.50 points to trade at 72.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Bw Lpg (OSLO:BWLPG) added 1.79% or 1.20 points to end at 68.20 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OSLO:TGS) was up 1.36% or 2.3 points to 171.8 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OSLO:GOGLT), which fell 4.48% or 1.60 points to trade at 34.10 at the close. Aker Solutions OL (OSLO:AKSOL) declined 3.41% or 1.23 points to end at 34.92 and DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO) was down 2.82% or 0.25 points to 8.61.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 92 to 84 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.82% or 0.25 to 8.61.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.61% or 0.30 to $48.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.24% or 0.14 to hit $55.99 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.06% or 0.70 to trade at $1092.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.73% to 8.9829, while USD/NOK rose 0.37% to 8.1873.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.25% at 97.38.
