Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Food, Beverages & Tobacco, Energy and Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 1.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 10.81% or 0.12 points to trade at 1.20 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) added 5.92% or 2.00 points to end at 35.80 and DnB ASA (OL:DNB) was up 2.96% or 3.0 points to 104.1 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY), which lost 3.60% or 1.24 points to trade at 33.25 in late trade. Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) declined 2.93% or 3.80 points to end at 126.10 and Statoil ASA (OL:STL) shed 2.61% or 3.5 points to 130.6.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 99 to 77 and 23 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.46% or 1.17 to $46.45 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 2.74% or 1.37 to hit $48.62 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.34% or 4.55 to trade at $1337.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.46% to 9.2606, while USD/NOK rose 0.89% to 8.2604.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.45% at 95.47.
