Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Energy, Auto & components and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 1.00%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nordic Nanovector ASA (OL:NANOV), which rose 10.41% or 7.15 points to trade at 75.85 at the close. Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) added 1.03% or 2.1 points to end at 206.8 and Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) was up 0.53% or 0.45 points to 84.75 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which lost 5.25% or 2.90 points to trade at 52.30 in late trade. TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) declined 4.17% or 7.5 points to end at 172.4 and Statoil ASA (OL:STL) shed 2.35% or 3.3 points to 136.9.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 108 to 64 and 18 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 3.68% or 1.73 to $45.34 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 3.14% or 1.56 to hit $48.05 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.26% or 3.22 to trade at $1222.42 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.53% to 9.5294, while USD/NOK rose 0.63% to 8.4075.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 96.09.
