Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking, Consumer Durables And Apparel and Healthcare Equipment & Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.67%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 4.39% or 1.1 points to trade at 26.9 at the close. Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR) added 3.14% or 3.30 points to end at 108.30 and Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) was up 2.25% or 1.9 points to 86.2 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA), which lost 10.00% or 6.75 points to trade at 60.75 in late trade. DnB ASA (OL:DNB) declined 7.57% or 7.7 points to end at 94.0 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) shed 6.56% or 0.11 points to 1.62.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 85 to 82 and 24 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 4.04% or 1.81 to $46.57 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 4.26% or 1.97 to hit $48.22 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.44% or 19.60 to trade at $1337.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.92% to 9.3189, while USD/NOK fell 1.06% to 8.4154.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.12% at 96.46.
