Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Durables And Apparel, Energy and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which rose 17.70% or 1.00 points to trade at 6.65 at the close. Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) added 3.98% or 1.3 points to end at 34.0 and Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) was up 3.09% or 0.8 points to 28.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included DNO International ASA (OL:DNO), which lost 4.57% or 0.42 points to trade at 8.66 in late trade. Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) declined 2.30% or 0.78 points to end at 33.08 and Statoil ASA (OL:STL) shed 2.17% or 3.0 points to 135.1.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 94 to 83 and 16 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.53% or 0.26 to $49.22 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.83% or 0.41 to hit $49.18 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.63% or 7.65 to trade at $1212.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.10% to 9.2732, while USD/NOK rose 0.60% to 8.3265.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.38% at 95.50.
