Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Materials, Food, Beverages & Tobacco and Real Estate sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.11% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 4.94% or 11.2 points to trade at 237.7 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 4.36% or 0.60 points to end at 14.37 and BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) was up 4.13% or 1.16 points to 29.24 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Yara International ASA (OL:YAR), which lost 3.34% or 10.6 points to trade at 306.5 in late trade. Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) declined 2.54% or 3.80 points to end at 145.60 and Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) shed 1.82% or 1.15 points to 62.20.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 99 to 69 and 25 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.80% or 0.34 to $43.08 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.80% or 0.36 to hit $45.58 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.64% or 7.97 to trade at $1257.37 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.08% to 9.4581, while USD/NOK fell 0.49% to 8.4466.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 96.94.
