Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Diversified Financials and Food, Beverages & Tobacco sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 1.40%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL), which rose 1.44% or 0.65 points to trade at 45.69 at the close. Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) added 0.70% or 0.80 points to end at 115.90 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was up 0.47% or 1.00 points to 213.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which lost 4.95% or 0.93 points to trade at 17.77 in late trade. TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) declined 3.73% or 9.3 points to end at 240.0 and Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) shed 3.01% or 2.2 points to 72.2.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 136 to 52 and 17 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.23% or 0.12 to $53.37 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.19% or 0.12 to hit $62.20 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.30% or 3.80 to trade at $1242.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.02% to 9.6517, while USD/NOK fell 0.02% to 8.5058.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 96.955.
