Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Insurance, Materials and Food, Beverages & Tobacco sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.49%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 7.45% or 1.0 points to trade at 14.9 at the close. Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) added 4.72% or 2.07 points to end at 45.88 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was up 3.27% or 0.87 points to 27.51 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Yara International ASA (OL:YAR), which lost 6.74% or 23.2 points to trade at 321.0 in late trade. Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) declined 5.59% or 4.50 points to end at 76.00 and Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS) shed 5.53% or 7.9 points to 135.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 98 to 90 and 17 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.11% or 0.58 to $52.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.73% or 0.40 to hit $55.52 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.45% or 5.55 to trade at $1233.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.09% to 8.8889, while USD/NOK rose 0.28% to 8.3391.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 100.60.
