Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Materials, Commercial Service And Supplies and Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA), which rose 4.40% or 19.20 points to trade at 456.00 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) added 2.89% or 1.24 points to end at 44.14 and Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) was up 2.85% or 3.10 points to 112.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which lost 11.87% or 15.15 points to trade at 112.50 in late trade. Nel ASA (OL:NEL) declined 6.84% or 0.390 points to end at 5.310 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) shed 5.58% or 2.14 points to 36.24.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 100 to 78 and 26 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 3.87% or 2.09 to $51.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 3.11% or 1.95 to hit $60.74 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.06% or 0.85 to trade at $1315.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.48% to 9.7489, while USD/NOK rose 0.51% to 8.5844.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 96.222.
