Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Food, Beverages & Tobacco and Transport sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 11.43% or 0.14 points to trade at 1.38 at the close. Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) added 1.66% or 3.20 points to end at 195.80 and Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) was up 1.07% or 0.70 points to 66.15 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which lost 4.11% or 2.80 points to trade at 65.25 in late trade. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) declined 3.48% or 6.3 points to end at 174.7 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) shed 2.99% or 0.46 points to 14.94.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 86 to 80 and 40 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.61% or 0.35 to $57.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.56% or 0.36 to hit $64.16 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.32% or 4.10 to trade at $1268.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.75% to 9.9623, while USD/NOK rose 0.44% to 8.3878.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 92.89.
