Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Food, Beverages & Tobacco, Energy and Consumer Durables And Apparel sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 1.45%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 8.34% or 0.09 points to trade at 1.20 at the close. Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG) added 5.60% or 1.14 points to end at 21.50 and Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) was up 4.40% or 1.59 points to 37.73 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Yara International ASA (OL:YAR), which lost 1.63% or 4.5 points to trade at 272.0 in late trade. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 0.80% or 0.1 points to end at 17.4 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) shed 0.45% or 0.1 points to 11.1.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 130 to 48 and 18 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.49% or 1.13 to $46.47 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.92% or 0.90 to hit $47.73 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.21% or 16.15 to trade at $1347.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 1.48% to 9.1002, while USD/NOK fell 1.85% to 8.1028.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.32% at 95.15.
