Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Consumer Durables And Apparel and Media sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.89%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG), which rose 7.95% or 1.73 points to trade at 23.50 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) added 4.05% or 1.20 points to end at 30.80 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) was up 2.95% or 0.4 points to 13.9 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which lost 3.03% or 0.7 points to trade at 21.1 in late trade. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) declined 2.62% or 0.03 points to end at 1.26 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) shed 1.03% or 3.2 points to 308.8.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 105 to 68 and 21 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.13% or 0.53 to $46.45 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.44% or 0.71 to hit $48.74 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.50% or 6.65 to trade at $1320.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.36% to 9.2968, while USD/NOK rose 0.70% to 8.3361.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.45% at 95.96.
