Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Transport, Materials and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.43%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG), which rose 2.42% or 0.86 points to trade at 36.45 at the close. Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) added 1.94% or 0.9 points to end at 45.8 and Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) was up 1.91% or 0.75 points to 39.75 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA), which lost 3.28% or 7.4 points to trade at 218.0 in late trade. Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) declined 1.01% or 0.65 points to end at 63.95 and P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) shed 0.97% or 3.00 points to 306.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 96 to 71 and 26 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.21% or 0.56 to $46.96 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.25% or 0.61 to hit $49.45 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.13% or 1.56 to trade at $1240.34 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.61% to 9.2895, while USD/NOK fell 0.29% to 8.0656.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 94.57.
