Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Media and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL), which rose 1.71% or 0.77 points to trade at 45.87 at the close. Schibsted ASA B (OL:SBSTB) added 1.56% or 3.00 points to end at 195.00 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was up 1.47% or 0.30 points to 20.64 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which lost 3.18% or 0.14 points to trade at 4.26 in late trade. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) declined 2.28% or 5.1 points to end at 218.9 and Lerøy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) shed 2.15% or 10.3 points to 469.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 87 to 84 and 30 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.57% or 0.29 to $50.96 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.34% or 0.18 to hit $53.79 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.53% or 6.69 to trade at $1260.29 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.04% to 9.3817, while USD/NOK fell 0.32% to 8.3515.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 96.88.
