Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Energy and Diversified Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 1.81% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP), which rose 5.61% or 18.00 points to trade at 338.80 at the close. Aker ASA (OL:AKER) added 4.76% or 33.0 points to end at 726.0 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) was up 4.39% or 13.8 points to 328.4 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which lost 3.39% or 8.70 points to trade at 255.86 in late trade. Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) declined 0.39% or 1.2 points to end at 305.2 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) shed 0.31% or 0.5 points to 162.9.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 112 to 69 and 26 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.15% or 0.11 to $72.19 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.96% or 0.77 to hit $81.30 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 1.40 to trade at $1205.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.05% to 9.5598, while USD/NOK fell 0.18% to 8.1256.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 93.72.
