Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Materials, Diversified Financials and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 1.33% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 8.83% or 1.5 points to trade at 18.7 at the close. Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) added 6.57% or 2.81 points to end at 45.60 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was up 6.18% or 0.42 points to 7.22 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Orkla ASA (OL:ORK), which lost 2.63% or 2.05 points to trade at 75.85 in late trade. SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) declined 2.19% or 5.90 points to end at 263.30 and Lerøy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) shed 2.07% or 9.0 points to 426.1.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 137 to 50 and 14 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.41% or 0.64 to $44.63 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.27% or 0.59 to hit $45.77 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.85% or 10.85 to trade at $1262.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.22% to 9.1240, while USD/NOK rose 0.44% to 8.3849.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.20% at 98.86.
