Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Energy, Media and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 1.16% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP), which rose 6.24% or 10.80 points to trade at 184.00 at the close. Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) added 3.57% or 4.7 points to end at 136.0 and Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) was up 2.67% or 1.17 points to 44.97 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which lost 10.28% or 1.45 points to trade at 12.65 in late trade. DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) declined 5.53% or 0.57 points to end at 9.73 and BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) shed 1.20% or 0.38 points to 31.22.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 104 to 82 and 24 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.22% or 0.12 to $54.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.17% or 0.10 to hit $60.23 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.55% or 7.05 to trade at $1278.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.36% to 9.4895, while USD/NOK rose 0.08% to 8.1530.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 94.43.
