Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Commercial Service And Supplies, Auto & components and Energy sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 1.13% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 3.36% or 0.04 points to trade at 1.11 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 3.22% or 0.43 points to end at 13.80 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) was up 2.93% or 5.5 points to 193.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nordic Nanovector ASA (OL:NANOV), which lost 3.95% or 3.30 points to trade at 80.30 in late trade. P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) declined 1.18% or 4.30 points to end at 360.60 and Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS) shed 0.46% or 0.7 points to 153.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 113 to 63 and 30 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.07% or 0.04 to $54.42 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.28% or 0.17 to hit $60.77 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.57% or 7.26 to trade at $1277.76 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.45% to 9.4677, while USD/NOK fell 0.24% to 8.1456.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 94.64.
