Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Energy, Materials and Healthcare Equipment & Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 1.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 6.50% or 1.7 points to trade at 27.7 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 5.33% or 1.19 points to end at 23.50 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was up 4.58% or 0.41 points to 9.26 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which lost 2.81% or 9.8 points to trade at 338.6 in late trade. Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG) declined 2.44% or 0.96 points to end at 38.45 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) 0.00% or 0.0 points to 136.4.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 115 to 57 and 22 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 2.06% or 1.00 to $49.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.63% or 0.81 to hit $50.45 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.37% or 4.65 to trade at $1247.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.05% to 9.2926, while USD/NOK rose 0.05% to 8.1837.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.14% at 94.03.
