Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Media sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 1.08% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 6.64% or 2.30 points to trade at 36.96 at the close. Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) added 3.24% or 11.0 points to end at 349.9 and Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) was up 3.15% or 7.4 points to 242.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG), which lost 2.15% or 3.75 points to trade at 170.90 in late trade. Norwegian Finans Holding ASA (OL:NOFI) declined 0.82% or 0.80 points to end at 97.00 and Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) shed 0.46% or 0.34 points to 74.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 119 to 66 and 22 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.12% or 0.08 to $67.33 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.30% or 0.22 to hit $72.91 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.05% or 0.60 to trade at $1307.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.16% to 9.7190, while USD/NOK rose 0.39% to 8.1214.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 92.44.
