Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Materials, Consumer Durables And Apparel and Diversified Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.98% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Yara International ASA (OL:YAR), which rose 3.75% or 11.9 points to trade at 329.2 at the close. BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) added 3.48% or 1.11 points to end at 33.00 and P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) was up 2.90% or 10.50 points to 372.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG), which lost 1.10% or 1.70 points to trade at 152.40 in late trade. TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) declined 0.72% or 1.2 points to end at 165.2 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) shed 0.58% or 0.07 points to 12.10.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 94 to 84 and 26 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.44% or 0.21 to $47.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.40% or 0.21 to hit $52.65 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.54% or 7.13 to trade at $1329.33 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.22% to 9.2634, while USD/NOK rose 0.48% to 7.7984.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 92.67.
