Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Energy, Diversified Financials and Media sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC), which rose 5.95% or 6.4 points to trade at 112.0 at the close. Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) added 4.80% or 2.58 points to end at 56.32 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) was up 4.06% or 12.3 points to 313.4 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY), which lost 2.98% or 1.40 points to trade at 45.89 in late trade. Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) declined 0.98% or 1.00 points to end at 101.10 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) shed 0.79% or 2.10 points to 264.40.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 108 to 71 and 28 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.08% or 1.44 to $70.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.77% or 0.61 to hit $79.67 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.54% or 6.50 to trade at $1208.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.60% to 9.5987, while USD/NOK fell 0.75% to 8.2568.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 94.85.
