Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Healthcare Equipment & Services and Technology Hardware & Equipment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.58%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nordic Nanovector ASA (OL:NANOV), which rose 9.62% or 7.50 points to trade at 85.45 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) added 6.83% or 11.7 points to end at 183.0 and BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) was up 5.25% or 1.67 points to 33.47 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO), which lost 2.98% or 2.25 points to trade at 73.25 in late trade. DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) declined 2.51% or 0.23 points to end at 8.74 and Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) shed 2.28% or 1.0 points to 44.6.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 105 to 69 and 34 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.52% or 0.86 to $57.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.96% or 1.22 to hit $63.42 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.32% or 4.00 to trade at $1249.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.20% to 9.7706, while USD/NOK fell 0.10% to 8.3087.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 93.96.
