Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Auto & components, Media and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.57%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 7.49% or 1.69 points to trade at 24.24 at the close. Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) added 4.02% or 8.00 points to end at 207.20 and Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) was up 3.09% or 6.6 points to 220.1 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Questerre Energy Corporation (OL:QEC), which lost 2.78% or 0.19 points to trade at 6.63 in late trade. Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) declined 1.23% or 2.2 points to end at 173.3 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) shed 0.80% or 0.38 points to 47.01.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 94 to 81 and 29 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 2.11% or 1.31 to $63.44 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.85% or 1.22 to hit $67.27 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.54% or 7.10 to trade at $1310.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.45% to 9.4852, while USD/NOK rose 0.22% to 7.7393.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.51% at 89.93.
