Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.51%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY), which rose 2.56% or 1.18 points to trade at 47.35 at the close. Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) added 2.48% or 7.00 points to end at 289.40 and SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) was up 1.86% or 7.40 points to 406.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 4.42% or 0.03 points to trade at 0.69 in late trade. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) declined 1.33% or 1.00 points to end at 73.70 and Norwegian Finans Holding ASA (OL:NOFI) shed 0.98% or 1.00 points to 101.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 98 to 94 and 13 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.49% or 0.33 to $67.42 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.18% or 0.14 to hit $76.97 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.11% or 1.30 to trade at $1201.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.46% to 9.7171, while USD/NOK fell 0.86% to 8.3763.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 95.08.
