Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Energy, Diversified Financials and Capital Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.51% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG), which rose 4.77% or 1.43 points to trade at 31.46 at the close. Statoil ASA (OL:STL) added 3.17% or 6.6 points to end at 212.2 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was up 3.01% or 0.44 points to 15.08 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG), which lost 5.71% or 3.6 points to trade at 58.7 in late trade. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) declined 4.14% or 12.20 points to end at 282.50 and SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) shed 2.15% or 8.60 points to 391.20.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 99 to 90 and 15 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 2.90% or 2.00 to $71.06 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 2.70% or 2.02 to hit $76.87 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.20 to trade at $1313.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.88% to 9.5755, while USD/NOK fell 0.79% to 8.0766.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 92.92.
