Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Media, Diversified Financials and Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.48% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 9.28% or 1.42 points to trade at 16.37 at the close. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) added 8.29% or 0.09 points to end at 1.11 and Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) was up 3.87% or 3.05 points to 81.85 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Storebrand ASA (OL:STB), which lost 1.50% or 0.95 points to trade at 62.55 in late trade. DnB ASA (OL:DNB) declined 0.60% or 0.9 points to end at 149.7 and Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) shed 0.32% or 0.5 points to 158.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 97 to 77 and 28 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 3.28% or 1.55 to $48.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 2.27% or 1.19 to hit $53.53 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.84% or 11.15 to trade at $1341.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.28% to 9.2657, while USD/NOK fell 0.42% to 7.7774.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 92.28.
