Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Utilities, Food, Beverages & Tobacco and Technology Hardware & Equipment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were SalMar ASA (OL:SALM), which rose 3.05% or 11.40 points to trade at 385.40 at the close. P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) added 2.52% or 12.00 points to end at 487.60 and Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) was up 2.26% or 1.95 points to 88.05 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC), which lost 2.66% or 3.4 points to trade at 130.0 in late trade. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) declined 1.62% or 1.20 points to end at 72.90 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) shed 1.35% or 0.64 points to 46.66.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 93 to 79 and 25 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.47% or 1.01 to $69.53 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.87% or 0.64 to hit $74.08 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.22% or 2.70 to trade at $1228.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.18% to 9.5410, while USD/NOK fell 0.05% to 8.1746.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 94.39.
