Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Auto & components and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.35% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which rose 3.51% or 6.1 points to trade at 180.0 at the close. BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) added 1.98% or 0.76 points to end at 39.17 and Grieg Seafood (OL:GSFO) was up 1.91% or 1.35 points to 72.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP), which lost 0.73% or 1.50 points to trade at 202.80 in late trade. Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) declined 0.56% or 1.0 points to end at 178.1 and Questerre Energy Corporation (OL:QEC) shed 0.49% or 0.03 points to 6.04.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 105 to 66 and 36 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.13% or 0.08 to $59.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.24% or 0.16 to hit $65.83 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.39% or 5.10 to trade at $1296.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.20% to 9.8519, while USD/NOK fell 0.29% to 8.2422.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 92.31.
