Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Diversified Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 5.22% or 0.65 points to trade at 13.11 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) added 5.04% or 3.35 points to end at 69.80 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was up 4.81% or 0.47 points to 10.24 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Yara International ASA (OL:YAR), which lost 1.32% or 4.9 points to trade at 365.0 in late trade. DnB ASA (OL:DNB) declined 0.66% or 1.0 points to end at 150.7 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) shed 0.55% or 1.0 points to 181.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 117 to 51 and 36 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.00% or 1.15 to $58.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 2.04% or 1.28 to hit $63.91 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.68% or 8.65 to trade at $1281.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.43% to 9.8604, while USD/NOK fell 0.40% to 8.2851.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 92.79.
