Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Auto & components, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.10%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Finans Holding ASA (OL:NOFI), which rose 6.98% or 6.00 points to trade at 92.00 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) added 2.83% or 0.70 points to end at 25.45 and Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) was up 2.67% or 1.2 points to 47.3 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL), which lost 2.47% or 1.14 points to trade at 45.00 in late trade. Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) declined 1.58% or 0.86 points to end at 53.64 and Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) shed 1.41% or 3.0 points to 209.5.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 100 to 88 and 20 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 1.00% or 0.63 to $62.38 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.32% or 0.88 to hit $65.64 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.22% or 2.90 to trade at $1321.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.06% to 9.6190, while USD/NOK rose 0.06% to 7.8727.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 90.44.
