Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Telecoms and Energy sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 declined 0.25% to hit a new all time low.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER), which rose 2.94% or 1.42 points to trade at 49.79 at the close. Meanwhile, Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) added 1.92% or 1.00 points to end at 53.00 and Lubelski Wegiel Bogdanka SA (WA:LWBP) was up 1.88% or 0.77 points to 41.76 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CCC SA (WA:CCCP), which fell 6.29% or 10.00 points to trade at 149.00 at the close. Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR) declined 4.27% or 3.12 points to end at 70.00 and Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE) was down 3.17% or 0.09 points to 2.75.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 314 to 250 and 111 ended unchanged.
Shares in Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR) fell to 52-week lows; falling 4.27% or 3.12 to 70.00.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.36% or 0.15 to $41.50 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.55% or 0.24 to hit $44.37 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.05% or 0.50 to trade at $1064.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.26% to 4.2812, while USD/PLN fell 0.16% to 4.0339.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.29% at 99.97.
