NickelSearch Ltd (ASX:NIS) has nickel in the crosshairs at its flagship Carlingup Project in WA thanks to an emerging 1-kilometre nickel anomaly at the Serendipity prospect.
The explorer recently embarked on an extensive soil sampling campaign over Carlingup’s greenfields targets, designed to realise the inherent potential in the Serendipity and B1 assets.

Survey says …
With 223 samples at hand, NickelSearch has revealed both the Serendipity and B1 prospects boast substantial nickel and coincident pathfinder anomalism.
In fact, just under half of the sample pack returned readings above 500 parts per million (ppm) nickel, while 16 clocked in at more than 1,000.
NickelSearch is particularly interested in one soil sample that returned 3,900 ppm nickel, 2,300 ppm chromium, 174 ppm copper, 17 parts per billion (ppb) palladium and 16 ppb platinum, suggesting there might be a gossan nearby.
Correlation of anomalous nickel in soil values to mapped ultramafic units.
Big-picture - the findings suggest a correlation between magnetic anomalies and historical geological mapping in the area while anomalous nickel-chrome ratios hint that the region could bear fruit as nickel sulphides.
Next on the agenda
With more nickel and pathfinder prospectively to follow up, NickelSearch is putting pen to paper and planning a maiden reverse circulation drill program.
The nickel stock hopes to get the drill rig spinning at Serendipity and B1 come April, with more work to come at Carlingup’s priority Sexton target.
All things considered, managing director Nicole Duncan said it was an exciting time to be a NickelSearch shareholder.
“The latest round of soil sampling results continues to validate our greenfields exploration strategy across our extensive Carlingup tenure,” she explained.
“Following the recent success at our Sexton target, we are excited to commence our maiden drill programs at both the Serendipity and B1 greenfields targets.
“The team is very eager to test Serendipity, given it extends over 1 kilometre of strike and the results from soil sampling are clearly anomalous.
“During 2022, the exploration team systematically progressed several greenfields targets to drill-ready status.
“Our maiden drill program at Serendipity and B1 is scheduled to commence in April and follows our recent drilling success at Sexton."
