Investing.com – Netherlands equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Goods and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX added 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were Koninklijke Boskalis Westminster NV (AS:BOSN), which rose 1.97% or 0.54 points to trade at 27.95 at the close. Gemalto (AS:GTO) added 1.87% or 0.72 points to end at 39.47 and SBM Offshore NV (AS:SBMO) was up 1.76% or 0.24 points to 14.16 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Relx NV (AS:RELN), which lost 0.79% or 0.140 points to trade at 17.560 in late trade. NN Group NV (AS:NN) declined 0.71% or 0.23 points to end at 32.68 and Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN) shed 0.71% or 0.021 points to 2.925.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 62 to 59 and 13 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 1.69% to 13.55.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.17% or 0.57 to $49.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.27% or 0.68 to hit $54.06 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.14% or 1.83 to trade at $1342.67 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.13% to 1.1928, while EUR/GBP fell 0.07% to 0.9135.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 92.11.
