Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Oil & Gas and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 1.59%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were A.P. Moller - Maersk A (COP:MAERSKa), which rose 5.98% or 690 points to trade at 12230 at the close. Meanwhile, A.P. Moller - Maersk B (COP:MAERSKb) added 5.88% or 700 points to end at 12610 and Vestas Wind Systems (COP:VWS) was up 2.80% or 10.2 points to 374.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were GN Store Nord (COP:GN), which fell 9.58% or 13.5 points to trade at 127.4 at the close. Coloplast A/S (COP:COLOb) added 0.33% or 1.5 points to end at 460.0 and TDC A/S (COP:TDC) was up 0.40% or 0.18 points to 44.94.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 105 to 45 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 2.54% or 1.10 to $42.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.34% or 0.67 to hit $49.51 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.71% or 8.00 to trade at $1115.60 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.20% to 6.7025, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4641.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.23% at 96.50.
