Lithium Universe Ltd (ASX:LU7) has expanded its presence in Québec, Canada, with its wholly-owned subsidiary, Lithium Universe Holdings Ltd, establishing an office in Montreal.
As well as strategically growing its presence, the company is confident that the Québec office will enhance its aim to become a major lithium company in the province’s emerging lithium district.
The office will also enable the company to streamline its operations with key stakeholders in the region – such as its engineering partners HATCH and Primero Group - as it continues to develop its Québec Processing-Hub Strategy.

Establishing a permanent presence in Québec follows the appointment last month of Victoria Vargas as director of Lithium Universe Holdings Ltd.
She will be based out of the new Québec office and is responsible for strengthening the company’s exposure to international capital markets and also facilitating corporate development opportunities.
North American experience
Vargas brings 25 years of experience in North American capital markets and extensive know-how across the mining and minerals industry.
Her experience in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) will also be beneficial to move LU7’s Quebec Processing Hub Strategy forward.
At the time of her appointment, LU7 non-executive chairman Iggy Tan said: “The appointment of Victoria Vargas who has extensive experience within the mining sector, particularly in Québec and Ontario, will be instrumental in advancing our Quebec Processing Hub Strategy.
"Ms Vargas' profound understanding of Canadian mineral markets will play a key role in enhancing our relationships with all stakeholders. We are very fortunate to have Victoria join our dynamic team.”
